Great game everyone! The low turnout was a disappointment but with all the goings on this weekend, it wasn't much of a shock that the turnout was low. We still had fun and as always would like to thank Hoop for what he does.
Predators! we'll get you next time! Congrats on yet another victory. Just don't celebrate too long, you've won the battle but the war is far from over. Lone Rangers. you guy's were the reason we completed every mission. I hope to see you return as Marines in October. It was great to play with you guy's this time rather than against you. M.V.T in my book. Gunner and staff @ Battle Zone. Always a pleasure! Love the field and can't wait till next month. I'll have pics up soon. Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to start another thread. -------------------- |

Thanks to everybody that came out and made this a great weekend of slingin' paint!
Unfortunately, we only had two Aliens sign up (and no general show up) so we made it "MvP"! At orientation, we had about 3 to 1 Marines v Predators, a fact that the Predators didn't seem to mind at all with their shields and friend-regen capabilities and all. The bad news? Out of the 10 on that side, only four or five hit the field at the 12:00 horn. D'oh! Predz got to the trailer and duked it out. One died, ran to another pred's bunker, then they got LAW'd out of the bunker and ran back to the big tree to respawn off of another. Another LAW took care of that group, with one lone Pred cleaning up from an overwatch position on top of the hill. Within minutes, Predz were pushed back into the woodline - which actually worked to their advantage because every time a Marine died he had that much further to walk!! Balls-o-plenty were sent hurling through the air for the first 30 minutes until the rest of the Pred side finally hit the field. By that time, the original Predz were out of paint and air, but with many a Marine skull in their pocket. As I was pondering pulling a few Marines into Predator duty, I got word that we had another team sign up for Predz. Game on! Before you knew it, Predz were knocking on the Marine's door. It ended up being a back-and-forth struggle for field position [not necessarily the Pred's strategy - but fun anyway] all through the game. The beauty of this game is now being able to see some great changes for the Oct & Nov games. LOTS more Marine missions are needed. They need to be kept busy, so that the focus is on "doing" instead of hunting. I'm going to give random Predz & Aliens the Marine mission LOCATION and TIME only - on the back of their cards. NOT "what" they are doing, but when and where, and randomly scattered among the players so you have to meet-n-greet and combine intel. Unless we have refs to hand out cards to Aliens, we'll need to make players the "eggs". Players need to keep a 30' berth from the non-shooting "egg", unless they are running with gun up to tag in and rejoin the fight. I've got snazzy costumes for this that'll also help refs keep up with who's where and when, and allow Predz and Marines to be able to hunt them down easier. I may or may not move the Marines. I may just move the Predators up to the trailer. Probably going strictly percentage based on the points. 30/40 missions [75% completed] = 264/352 skull cards [75% completed], etc... -------------------- That's the best ten dolla's I ev'r spent!!

So I'm assuming that the "Oct" game won't be a re-enactment of the "Sept" game.
ie same missions etc. Rather "the next chapter". -------------------- |
