FAR CRY - GAME DETAILS

QWAHALA Tribe
NIHALU Tribe
MERCENARIES

Far Cry is essentially a three team game; two warring factions and a third group of loner, diamond-hungry assassin types.

The two warring tribes are … well … at war.  Both tribes have some people [“Buddies”] that aren’t hip to the tribal war, so they help the assassins.  The assassins are just there for the area’s diamonds [200 of which are scattered all over the field] AND side missions given to them by the Buddies.

Diamonds get stored in one of five hiding spots [keyed lock boxes, spray painted orange].  Buddies, having orange streamers of flagging tape on their barrels, give the assassins a laundry list of side missions to complete at any time.  They can also be double-crossing spies and merely act like they’re helping.  If we gave out 10 buddy roles, 3 of them would be “evil”.  Evil buddies can steal diamonds, taking them out of the game, but they can’t give them to their side or the other side for points.  Evil buddies that confiscate keys to the lock boxes can keep the box from being unlocked, negating all of the points.

There’ll be a total of 3,000 points, including 2,000 points [10 each] for diamonds and 1,000 points for side missions.  The tribes will both have missions totaling 3,000 points, as well as preventing diamonds they find in their "town" from being stolen by the Mercenaries.  Red and Blue factions would have mostly “close in” missions [protecting their territory] and several critical missions past mid-field for parts needed to build something [defensive bunkers, parts for tanks, etc.].

For 100 players, there’d be 30 in Red Faction, 30 in Blue Faction and 40 Assassins, plus 5 red and 5 blue “buddies” from Red/Blue side.  Buddies can reveal themselves at any time, or not at all, but once they put on the orange tape, they’re Buddies...  They can still fight for/with their side, and they shouldn’t be seen as the enemy - especially since nobody knows if 5 of 5 buddies are double-crossers, 3/5, 1/5, etc.  Thus, red and blue don’t need to shoot buddies.  Alternatively, if red and blue want to gang up on the Mercenaries, there’ll be 50 assassins [40, plus Buddies] on 50 blues/reds [30 each, less Buddies].  Either way... Both ways... Play it however you want to.
